1)
I have a specialty practice with very specific
documentary requirements. Can you accommodate
me?
A: Never forget,
we adapt to you. Our software is designed to be
customized to an extreme extent. Remember, we
take your documents and forms and quite
literally design them into our system so that
you can continue to use the same forms and
processes you have been using all along. We
accommodate all practices and specialties. If
you can reduce a process to paper, we can take
it paperless.
2)
I am a single provider with a need to go
paperless but I am put off by the high cost of
those other EMR providers. Also, many of those
other EMR systems do more than I need it to do
and if I ask them to cut down on all the bells
and whistles or to make special accommodations
for my practice, they raise the price! How say
you?
A: Single
providers must operate under the same guidelines
as larger clinics but their distinctive needs
are not being met by the dominant providers.
Remember, we recreate your documents, connect
them to a database to make those documents
“smart” and then allow you to fill out the rest
of the paperwork with digital ink so each
installation is, to a certain extent, quite
customized. We are set up so a single
practitioner can go paperless usually for less
than $15,000.
3)
Yeah, but what about the cost of hardware?.
A: Depending upon
your exact setup, our briefcase system (see
white papers) can significantly reduce the
amount of money you need to spend on computer
infrastructure. Instead of hardwiring a desktop
computer system and monitor in every exam room,
you have key personnel with their own tablet
walking from room to room.
4)
What about all those paper charts I have in my
chart room - how do I handle those?
A: We have a
rather robust scanning solution as part of our
software. Every practice is different and every
practice needs to find their own solution but we
suggest scanning in those historical documents
on an as needed basis. If you know you will be
seeing a patient over a period of time, you will
want to scan those historical documents into the
patients chart as an attachment. If you have a
chart which has been inactive for three years,
we submit, why take the time?
5)
Can I tie in my fax machine?
A: Absolutely, and
not only that, if you have the ability to bring
faxes into an electronic folder using a fax
program such as WinFaxPro™, you can move those
electronic versions of faxes directly into the
patient’s chart without having to print them
first.
6)
What about outgoing faxes? Do I need to print a
document first?
A: We are a
paperless charting solution. Rather than print
to a printer, print directly to your outgoing
fax machine.
7)
Can I forward documents to another practices EMR
system?
A: Most EMR’s have
a means of importing .pdf documents. We can
produce a pdf which will go directly into
another physician’s EMR system.
8)
Can you tie your charting system into my current
Patient Management System?
A: Yes, we will
integrate with any PM system but you need to
understand, this is a VERY big question with a
variety of detailed answers. Please see your
sales representative to flesh out the details.
9)
Can I send out Lab Requests without creating
paper?
A: Yes. Remember, any process you can think of
which can be reduced to a paper process we can
take paperless.
10) Can I import lab reports into the
system?
A: Yes. If the lab
reports come in by paper, you can scan those
reports directly into the patient’s chart. If
you normally receive your lab results via fax,
we can import them directly to the patient’s
chart without printing them first.
11) Can you accommodate referrals?
A: Yes, both inbound and
outbound. |
